Krakatau Volcano This group of island consists of three islands and one volcano. These islands and volcano were formerly a single giant ancient volcano. It believed that the ancient volcano erupted at around 600 AD and tore apart in to 3 islands which now surrounded the current active volcano. Due to the volcanic activities, once again the southern part of the remain grew up and formed a new volcano, followed by the growth of other two volcano to its north and joined up together formed a 9 km of length and 3 km of width of fire island. August 27, 1883 was recorded as the biggest eruption the volcano ever made. Killed more than 36.000 peoples, devastated the surrounding area with it's 30 -40 m high of tidal wave. The two volcanoes on the north plus half cone of the southern volcano were gone. The baby volcano it self just grew around 30 years the big bang. The smoking cone you now see is a grandchild of Krakatau, Anak Krakatau, which first appeared in 1929 and has been growing yearly, your trip will accompaied by our local friendly guide from www.krakatau-tour.com

Ujung Kulon National Park. The Ujung Kulon peninsula is the western most extension of Java. The park includes the peninsula, as well as the offshore islands of Peucang and Panaitan. This beautiful peninsula, protected on three sides by the sea and on the east by the Honje Mountains, has been a natural refuge for wildlife, now rare in the rest of heavily populated Java, and is the last place in the world where the once common Javan Rhinoceros is found. Ujung Kulon also contains some of the last tracts of undisturbed lowland rain forest to be found in Java. Typical vegetation in Ujung Kulon is dense thickets of palms, gingers and bamboos. The Rhino are rarely seen, Banteng (Javan Wild Oxen) frequent the grazing grounds morning and evening accompanied by Peafowl, Leaf Monkeys, Macaques, Pigs, Squirrels and Otters. Fruit Bats and large Monitor Lizards are also common and Green Turtle nest on the west beach. 220 bird species have been recorded as resident, the most common being Hornbills, Woolly-necked Storks, Green Peafowl, Barbets, Bulbuls and Bee Eaters. Water birds are common in the Nyiur swamps and there are many sea birds and waders. One of the attractions of Peucang Island are almost tame Rusa Deer and long-tailed Macaques sometimes to tame, and the big Monitor Lizards so easy to see at the camp.
The tour may also start/ end from Jakarta Airport or Hotel depend on request and we may also stay over night at Hotel nearby Carita beach before or after tour

The Trip : ( Option 1 )

Day 1 :  Carita Beach - Krakatau Volcano Tour stay at beach camp

  • KRAKATAU TOUR Start at 0730 / 08.00 am From Carita Beach.( After breakfast )
  • Sailing Cross Sunda Strait the journey will take us 1-1,5 hours, on the way we could see flying fish, group of small tuna, dolphins and other nice view, depend on the weather.Sail around the volcano ( Anak Krakatau ) here we can see kind and stem of larva
  • Landing and Climbing  up to the first level of anak krakatau.
  • Swimming / skin dive and Snorkeling at Legon Cabe ( at the big krakatau ) coral reef , unch time serve on the beach. at 15.30 Make camping at Big Krakatau / Anak Krakatu / Panjang island  close to ranger Post
  • After Dinner we can do Night Tracking to anak Krakatau  Back to the camp for fire wood and barbecue Fish
  • Free time

Day 2 : Krakatau Volcano Tour - Ujung Kulon National Park stay at Fauna Loge Peucang Island

  • UJUNG KULON TOUR Start at 0730 / 08.00 am.( After breakfast ) go to big Krakatau / Rakata Island continue sail to Peucang island Ujung Kulon National Park, check in at guest house,Take a walk around Peucang Island swimming and snorkeling at coral reef around the island.
  • In the afternoon sail to Grazing Ground in mainland Ujung Kulon to see wild life, sunset time at Cidaon jetty, Back to Pucang island and Dinner time will be Served at 19.00
  • Stay over night at the accommodation ( free time )

Day  3 : Ujung Kulon National Park - Badul Island - Carita Beach

  • After breakfast tracking to Karang copong or tracking to Tanjung layar in the mainland of Ujung Kulon national park through the tropical rain forest
  • Back to the island and prepare to check out from peucang island
  • continuing boat trip to Handeleum island to take wooden canoe and ranger
  • Canoieng Tour at cigenter river through the jungle of rain forest try to see wild life, rhino track if we lucky we may see the javan rhinocros often seen in this river
  • Paddling back to the boat
  • on the way to Carita beach may visit badul island for Swimming and snorkeling
  • sail back to Carita beach
  • Arrive at carita Beach ( The end of the trip )

Day 1 :  Carita Beach - Krakatau Volcano - Ujung Kulon National park stay at Fauna Loge Peucang Island

  • if we have still time we may visiting grazing ground cidaon just cross by boat about 5 minutes and continuing hikking another 5 minutes to Grazing ground cidaon try to see the wild life (wild life watching )..
  • sunset at cidaon Jetty at mainland of Ujung Kulon National park
  • Sail back to peucang island and Dinner time,,, free time and stay at peucang island

Day 2 : Peucang Island - Tracking from Cibom to Ciramea - Tanjung Layar - Cibom - including Karang copong at Peucang Island - Handeleum Island

  • After breakfast tracking to Tanjung layar in the mainland of Ujung Kulon national park through the tropical rain forest
  • Back to the island, snorkeling and swimming at peucang island after lunch preparefor hikking to Karang copong at Peucang island for wild life watching and see the primary rain forest
  • back to loge and prepare check out from peucang island
  • on the way to handeleum if we have time we may stop at nyawaan beach for swimming and snorkeling
  • arrival at handeleum island check in at handeleum island guest house
  • free time and enjoying handeleum island

 

Day 3 : Handeluem Island - Cigenter Canoeing - Badul Island - Carita Beach

  • After break fast start boat trip to Cigenter River for canoeing  take wooden canoe and ranger
  • Canoieng Tour at cigenter river through the jungle of rain forest try to see wild life, rhino track if we lucky we may see the javan rhinocros often seen in this river
  • Paddling back to the boat
  • on the way to Carita beach may visit badul island for Swimming and snorkeling
  • sail back to Carita beach
  • Arrive at carita Beach ( The end of the trip )
